Trip to San Diego

We took a family vacation (Scott Sally and Miley came too!) to visit San Diego for the triathalon. We all had an awesome time!
We stayed in Mission Bay where the tirathalon was.

We also went by J's old stomping grounds in Lajolla and visited the Scripps Aquarium.
Can't wait to go again!!

We had fun with the Landis, Klosek and Stambook Families!
There was a Scary Witch, a Girly Pirate and a Silly Monkey all playing and writing frightening chalk messages. Afterwords they all enjoyed giant eyeballs!

Pumpkin Patch

We had a great time picking out our pumpkins! They had too many to choose from. They even had animals for petting.
The 2mo old calf was especially friendly it loved to be scrached under the chin!
Henry called all the pumpkins "apples" and he left with some of the smallest they had.

Owen Andrew is here!!

He was born at 7:43 pm on Friday, May 30th. 7 lbs and 7 oz, 19.5 inches.

The baby and I are doing great. Everything went pretty fast. Henry is a very proud big brother. Jason was totally awesome, as always, and continues to be a great helper.

My amended due date was May 24 so I'm really only 3 days over. We see our doctor tomorrow so, maybe we will know more then?

Grandpa's Farm

Today we went to a place called Grandpa's farm with our MOPS group.
Henry and Jake got to meet all kinds of animals: a miniature Yak, bunnies, turkeys, goats, cows, minature horses... Even got to see a pig race and went on a tractor ride! It was good ol' fashion FUN!

When people said "Oh, just wait he'll grow up so fast." It's like we knew it but, didn't have the experience it to REALLY know what they meant. Now we get it!
We were there (with our camera's) to enjoy just about every moment!

We had a great day and Henry did pretty well with ALL the attention.

First Haircut

Jason and I took Hank to get his fist haircut at Cool Cuts. He did really good playing with the steering wheel of the fire truck and watching the cartoons. We were really impressed. That was until she brought out the trimmer… Let’s just say the first half went great!

It was a Charlie Brown Christmas at out house...
But, what a fun time we all had! Getting Henry to actually open presents was a challenge but, he has been having fun will ALL of his toys. Grandma Lynn has this tradition of putting the grandkids amongst the stuffed animals...can you find Henry?
Thanks to our wonderful family we had a wonderful Christmas.

Giving Thanks

So many things to be thankful for! The most significant; Henry. So many things had to happen, Jason and I met, got married etc. Even pregnancy was a miracle how all those cells came together so perfectly. What a blessing he has been. I think having children really helps in understanding the awesome works of the Lord, his perfect plan. What a wonder to have another one on the way.

This year, we have seen our family in pain with the loss of loved ones and are grieving with them. It has strengthened our faith in the Lord and has given a whole new understanding of what hope really means.

Thanksgiving has been a time to reflect and to “Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart” because of what the Lord has done for us.

The annual Plahn Thanksgiving was quite a feast this year! There were so many people that we had to sit outside in the driveway! The food was great and the company was even better. We played MadGab, and sung praise tunes with Uncle Scotty. Later the boys played poker and the women and children chatted and played.

Phoenix

Our trip to Phoenix to visit family was GREAT! Henry is a great travel companion. He fell asleep on the plane. We had good times with Phil, Val and Dante we hung out at the house, and made almost the complete food and shopping tour of Phoenix and surrounding areas! I almost forgot....Henry has learned a thing or two from his cuz, Henry is offically a crawler!!!

Renegades Football Game

Tonight we went to the BC Renegades football game! It was Henry’s first College Game. (JC at least) We tailgated in the parking lot; Jimmy brought a smorgasbord of treats.  At first the noise was a bit too much for Hank but, he adjusted just fine. He’s becoming quite a flirt; he just couldn’t keep from laughing and talking to the girl behind him! The game was exciting and BC WON!

Henry made a cute teddy bear don't ya think? We went to Grandma’s to say hello and see Princess Fiona also known as Grace. I think her inspiration came from “Uncle Scott” who does an awesome donkey impression. Hank loves the jack o’ lantern passy and the balloon was really fun to squeeze. We also had the opportunity to meet Ryan’s new fuzzy friend, its RED! Jason please don’t get any ideas…whoever said mustaches were cool?
